Unverified Jets reporter says Aaron Glenn allegedly said the Jets are his first choice [Underhill: Thats a false characterization of Glenn] (14 Viewers)

It's just like the saying and it goes for N.O. as well as NYC " It nice place to visit , but I wouldn't want to live there"

Exactly. I love New York, one of my favorite cities to visit and have been there many times, but wouldn’t want to live there or raise my kids there. I even got recruited/pursued out of the blue and offered a job there about 5-6 years ago, and turned it down.

Just not my vibe for a permanent living situation, not to mention the cost of living.

It depends, I lived there in the early 80s when I was in my 20's I was a musician on RCA records . It was great , I played all the best venues , The Ritz , The Peppermint Lounge . The Limelight . When I got into my late 40s and 50s ( the age of most NFL HCs and coaching staffs ) You could have given me a Apt on CPW and said I had to live there full time and work there after I had gotten out of the music business and I would have turned it down

If I could afford it, I'd move there today.

This is dennis allen 2.0
AG got an 8-28 record as HC somewhere else that needs to be overlooked or "looked at beyond the results"? Don't know if you're aware, but if you saw the injuries on the Saints OFFENSE this year, AG been dealing with an identical situation on his DEFENSE. That defense was held together with scotch tape and 2nd-3rd stringers....and STILL went 15-2 until yesterday. Under those circumstances, I'm impressed he got that defense to the division title and #1 seed. He has done more with less than DA had. JMO...

But admittedly, his defense crapping the bed yesterday was very DA-resemblant....when it mattered most.

There are rumors that his wife likes NY so that could be a big factor. But, if he has choices, I don't know why he would choose Rodgers and Woody Johnson, other than if his wife says she wants to go to NY.
Family is an important consideration when deciding to move across the country for a job.
