N/S Jets will release QB Aaron Rodgers per Jordan Schultz and Jay Glazer (10 Viewers)

I guess that means Davante Adams becomes available too. I know most don’t want him because of the price tag, but I’m not totally against having one of the best to ever do it come here and mentor the young guys. Probably not going to happen, but I’m not against it.

He would probably go back to the Packers if he could

I’d rather send him his QB than take on that 32 year olds contract. We’re starting over right now, we don’t need more old players.

I get it. I’m just saying that if there was some way to offload some of the other bad contracts we have and take on Adams, I think it’d be worth it for a couple seasons. But I’m not sure if it will even be possible.

Guess we’ll see soon. I’d imagine the Jets are aiming younger, maybe give Bridgewater the bridge QB role (no pun intended).

I'm really just joking, and hoping, but I do think Carr works as a bridge QB for them better than Bridgewater. That's a team that wants to win soon give that they do have some players on defense. And the NY media is not going to be kind to a long rebuild. Glenn needs to win fast and Carr might give them the best chance to do that. They are just in a different position than we are where many of our best players are about to retire.
