Jo Lon Dunbar on ESPN radio (1 Viewer)

"we put a lot of emphasis on physical play"

On the goal line stance - "We overloaded the weakside, and were able to get penetration"

Mike Salk is hosting the Doug Gottlieb show.

Host said "fans should hate each other, both teams should hate each other" "We do!"

"we feel like we're rolling. We understand what we need to do to win. We have a formula for winning and when we do, its alright".

Celebration at midfield. We do it every game, just because we clinched the playoffs. Took a picture to celebrate. We weren't disrespecting the Atlanta organization, just celebrating making the playoffs. That's a big deal.

Jo Lon did a great job. You were a beast last night, with six tackles.

He was making some great plays on those early run downs. JLD did what he does.

Host loved the game last night, said he was still on a high from the great game. Two best teams in the conference.

JLD was jawing with Ryan all night "We went to BC together, we go back" or something like that.

WHO DAT!!!!

Didn't he get to Turner in the backfield early on? I was very impressed with his performance last night.

He put a nice hit on Ryan too. Ryan never scrambled up the middle again after that hit. He also missed some throws pretty badly, possibly as a result of that hit.

On another note, I would imagine that GW tells his players in so many words that no player (especially a QB) runs up the middle without getting popped, slide or no slide. Especially early in the game like that. Gotta let them know, no easy points in the paint.

I'd say "no easy 15 yards" would be a better strategy.

Maybe, but it does not seem to be the Saints' strategy considering we get a 15 yarder just about every single game.

And besides, it was only 7 last night.

Was that Dunbar or the Harper hit?

Dunbar did play a really good game. LOVED that hit on Turner that knocked him backwards. It wasn't even as if he had a running start at Turner. He was basically standing upright and just blasted him.:9:

JoLonn and Matt Ryan were teammates at BC. I'm sure that brought back memories of past practices...

There's that play action, except it ends not with a pass but a slide. Dunbar, the former Boston College star, hits Ryan after a short run from the quarterback and is slapped with a late-hit penalty, giving Atlanta first-and-goal.
