Joey Bosa released by Chargers (105 Viewers)

Some of you aren't looking at the big picture of having a Joey Bosa come in. He doesn't need to come in here and be a starter, he can be in a rotation, which would probably cut down on his injuries and he won't have to be overplayed like he was with the Chargers. He's played in Staley's defensive system for a few years, so he can come in and help all the the young talent on defense that we have acclimate to Staley's defensive scheme. You can never have too many teachers. The Saints could sign him to a 1 or 2 year contract, and if he doesn't work out they can release him after one or two years. I'd bring him in and kick the tires. We need all the help we can get right now, whether it be veterans or rookies.

Yup. If we can bring him in on say a 2/20 deal max it would be great, that is if we can’t re-sign Chase. Let him be a 3rd down pass rusher, and draft a guy to learn under him.

Some of these responses don't make any sense. Bosa could improve this team, Metcalf could improve this team, Kirk could improve this team, yet fans on here have an instant response of "No". If you add Metcalf via trade on a discounted trade value, Kirk via FA on a discounted price due to recent production and Bosa on an affordable deal, now you go into the draft with the WR position nearly completed and an DL who has literally played in the system that Staley is going to install. Adding Bosa is almost a no-brainer.

Bosa's familiarity in Staley's system makes him intriguing, but I would rather them run it back with Chase Young.

Every trade request or player released thread that gets posted I immediately think of the fact we are still comfortably eight figures in the red on the cap

Joey Bosa is one of those players, who will sign a contract with a new team, ball out that first year, then do next to nothing the rest of it. Seen this movie a million times. Bookmark this post if need to

This is a conundrum for me. Bosa will get to the QB and take him down, albeit for 8 healthy games a year. Young will give you the same production while playing lazy the full year. Let me see……..hard NEAUX to both of them

It's where we are headed, but not if we have to eat Carr's contract this yr. Plus we have to draft better and just as important develop and evaluate the players we drafted better. DA did a horrible job of getting coaches that were good at developing the players we picked. And DA did a horrible job of evaluating players like Hendrickson and Baun and Anzalone
Baun is a great example of why coaching is critical. DA didn't know how to use him.
