Please don't quote someone and edit their quote for 2 reasons. One, it's not appropriate and two, if someone wants to relpy to your post, nothing is quoted, and people can't quote your post when responding.

You don't know how hard it was for me not to quote this post and edit it.

Three other defendants pleaded guilty last week to attempted manslaughter in exchange for 20-year sentences.

sentencing is January 12. I would expect him to get life sentence.

FYI, there's nothing to expect. Second degree murder is an automatic life sentence in Louisiana. Only reason for the delay is to allow time for appeals. But the sentence is already known.

Yeah, a FIFY should go outside the quotes so someone can reply to it. Just quoted content will generate a blank reply.
