Joe Woods is not a good coordinator. His numbers are below average for the raiders, browns, and broncos. Granted, he never had the talent this team has, but it's a good thing Dennis Allen is still the true coordinator. His points given up, and turnovers are all bad.

Experience can't trump the numbers though. Talent of the teams are the only thing different
If the New England Patriots had looked at Belichick's WLT numbers as HC of the Browns, he wouldn't be a Hall of Fame coach.

All numbers are just data points waiting to be misinterpreted or manipulated by humans looking for patterns.

Bill did implement a high tech spy strategy to game the system…..just saying

He is more of what Pete Carmichael was to Sean. I don’t think anyone will accuse Pete of being an good OC, but it worked within those parameters.
I’ll make that accusation. What Pete Carmichael did last year after all the injuries was damn impressive. I don’t care what the majority says. We’re lucky to still have him.

His 2018 Broncos gave up fewer points (21.8 ppg) than our 2018 Saints (22.1 ppg) and we were considered a pretty good defense that year. In fact, had the Broncos given up 1 less TD that year, they would’ve been a top-10 scoring defense.

Same thing with his 2021 Browns, they were again 13th in points (which isn’t terrible) and 1 less TD would’ve put them tied for 8th.

Looking at rankings is one thing but that just goes to show how thin the margin can be between these teams where 1 score can move a team from top-10 to middle of the pack any given season.

And the years they won when he didn't...? I'm no Pats apologist but the point stands, HOF coach.

I think Pete did a good job under the circumstances, but last year doesn’t define him as a good OC. We’ll see. Like I say about DA, Sean’s shadow is huge and it lingers. Both are trying to step out of it. A year down the road is probably a better time to start passing judgement, than last year. Last year they both managed to keep their heads above water under difficult circumstances.

I use to get upset at the "Good ol boy network" that's common among NFL teams, but it's something that's going to happen regardless. Payton was allowed to bring in "his people" and now we're seeing the same with Allen. Is it a smart move? Time will tell. But if it fails, then know that we had a good thing until someone tinkered with it.

There is more reason to doubt him than to support him. I do not think our defence will be as good as last year unfortunately.
