Saints Kamara is NOT a small running back (1 Viewer)

Taysom is a thick dude. When they showed clips of his BYU pro day it reminded me of Tebow. Actually, I think Tebow could have done much of what Taysom is doing had he not be insistent on being a QB only.

Kamara has choppy feet and a skinny running style with great burst. He also gets the Pierre Thomas dead leg syndrome when defenders hit him. It's like he let's that part go limp and absorb the blow while keeping his balance. Very impressive. He also is the fastest runner I've ever seen that looks like he is just trotting along.
Taysom is s good bit faster than Tebow. 4.4 vs. 4.71 in the 40.

Lower body is everything...Kamara is the perfect size...Reggie was always a bit top heavy, too light in the lower body....

Incredibly strong. Doesn'ttake a direct hit but on the few times he does.
Don't matter he powers through.
5'9" or 5' 10" is the perfect size for a RB IMO if they are 215+

This may not have anything to do with his size but it does add to the Kamaraffatuation here but there was one play this past game where he was running outside and got knocked sideways I believe but he landed on his right leg and used that same leg to burst upfield the second it hit the ground to gain positive yards after contact. It was amazing to me how much power and balance he had in one leg to be able to do that.

No doubt. But he could have brought that power to the game.
A lot of the tight ends I looked up run the forty around 4.5, but Gronk times out at 4.68, so Tebow could have probably made the transition work, if he had wanted to. Not like 0.03 is that big a difference (hell, is 0.3 that big a difference?).

Alvin Kamara is 5'10 215 and Mark Ingram is 5'9 215. Size wise only 1in separates them.
Bodies are just different is all. Looks like AK has much longer arms and legs compared to MI even though there is only 1 inch difference in height. That's why MI looks so much thicker than AK. Their styles complement each other so well.
