This is for my own mental proactive thinking... As I have been asking... Let's assume he's poached (which looks likely right now)... Who's next?

Asking questions to realistic future scenario's isn't negative...

This is exactly how my mind works as well. Why wait and see how we got here when you can "prepare". We (you and I) are askign the questions that we hope leadership would be asking themselves right now

I wanted to trade up for Brock Bowers... I realize he was picked before our pick... He also currently leads all TEs in the NFL in rec yards...

Bowers is leading all TEs in yards because the Raiders don’t have a quarterback who can throw deep or to the hashes and their only valuable perimeter target is doubled on every down and occasionally tripled.

The national spotlight is shining bright on Kubiak now. All of the national programs I watched this am mentioned him and how he’s going to be a top-tier HC candidate after the season (if this early success continues).

So the hope he wouldn’t become “the guy” for every job opening in 2025 is fading faster than a prison tattoo.

Our slide has nothing to do with Kubiak... Our personnel has dictated what he can and can't do from the start. When the Oline was healthy, he was able to lean on them with the running game and play action... and mask our lack of pass-pro and receiving options outside of CO and RS... He can no longer do that. What's happening now makes me more impressed with what he was able to accomplish in weeks 1 and 2... not less.

The defense also deserves some credit (or Bryce Young at least) for how well we played on offense in those games. When we scored on nine straight drives against the Panthers, our average starting field position was our 47. A first down away from at least a field goal.

It also turns out that both Dallas and Carolina have bad defenses, both ranking in the bottom 10 by DVOA.

On the bright side, the Bucs have not been great on defense, ranked 18th overall by DVOA, so maybe we can get something going against them if McGovern can get up to speed quickly.

The NFL cares more about what have you done for me lately. 2 games against bad teams is not enough to make him super desirable, IMO. He still has time to turn it around but right now his O isn't hot....it's just hot garbage.

Dallas actually has a winning record and isn’t a bad or terrible team. Granted I didn’t love some of the play calls but our o line is decimated with injuries. A guy just signed a day ago was out there playing and he don’t even know the offense yet. O line is in disarray because we can’t get settled without another injury. O line a mess means the offense a mess. We lost a weapon in Taysom which make it even easier to defend out two receivers and back. Objectively Have to give somewhat of a pass for that.

Really want to see how he adapts now that there's film on his tactics and tendencies.

If he gets it majorly improved by seasons end then I also agree.
