Kellen Moore expected to be Saints coach (80 Viewers)

Eagles fans are extremely unhappy.

For a hot minute last week (Monday, the 3rd), some Philly fans on another board were certain Gayle Benson was going to be immediately forced to sell the Saints, all heads above the coaching level were going to be fired, and Kellen Moore would do a 180 and reject the Saints HC job.

Hours later, Goodell held his first Super Bowl week press conference and crushed all that noise in 30 seconds. Those same Philly fans were stunned for a bit, but have since stopped talking about it and have accepted that Moore is moving on.

The really funny thing is there were people on this board convinced very similar things would happen.

A lot of people have simply forgotten what being a genuinely bad football team looked and felt like, and are desperate to get back to no longer having that feeling.

I certainly haven't forgotten, it's all part of being a Saints fan....but I don't want any more of it.....not desperate but definitely looking forward to the possibility of no longer having that feeling....

Statistically speakingy here’ the #’s.

7 new coaches hired in 2021 only 2 remain, Sirianni and Campbell. In 2020 it was 5, only Stefanski remains. In 2022 it was 10 and only 4( Daboll, O’Connell, McDaniel, Bowels) remain. Statistically speaking only 2 will be still employed in 3 years.



From 2020-2022, (22) coaches were hired. Only 7 coaches remain. Thats a 32% chance of hitting , 68% chance you get it wrong.



2025, 7 new head coaches, likely two will remain, possibly 3. Vrabel and Carrol are rehashes, gotta consider them favorites to still be employed based on history so that means only one of the new guys is likely to stick.

And, sometimes best situation means nothing.

Staley was voted as HC w/ best situation when he was hired by Chargers. It didn’t do diddly squat for him.

That means Ben Johnson isn’t a lock just because he picked best situation or is Moore in a worst situation for coming here.

Totally agree, I think the few coaches that stick around and are successful over multiple seasons are not because of the situation they are hired into but the changes they make to turn it around.....

We have seen that here with CSP, much more recently Dan Campbell, there are many other examples.....if KM is indeed going to be our next HC, I hope he is the next example....
