As much as I’d love a New Orleans centered show, Trombone Shorty is not nationally known to the magnitude they look for in a featured halftime act.

Cant we just have some new orleans in the halftime show.

Sure NO could supply music for dozens and dozens of halftime shows, but that’s not how NFL has done it for 20 years or so (I mean Prince played Miami, not Minny)
But Kendrick is FAR from a terrible choice- dude’s at the top of the game

Imagine KDot goes out and plays "Not Like Us" 5 times in a row, like he did at the pop-up show in LA. He's getting a national platform to drag Drake.

I'd imagine they will incorporate some NOLA born rappers or musicians.

Yeah a ton of 54 year olds know who he is. He's not new. A good choice since he very much does not suck and puts on a good show.

Just saw the ad with him announcing he's doing the half time show with a large American flag in the background. I don't think Drake is allowed past the border at this point.
