Kevin Faulk is innocent-passes drug test (1 Viewer)

I actually believe that they weren't his. Faulk is a pretty good guy and pretty much always stays out of trouble, but the guys he hangs with are pretty may be a little different. Not saying that they are bad guys either, but they might smoke a lil weed every now and then.

But really, why would he purposely try to get in the Cajundome with 4 joints? If I had to guess, I'd say that he's telling the truth.I've seen him out and about a couple times and he wasn't even drinking IIRC. Sucks for him. He's good people and well liked throughout the area.

2 things:
1) I dont think anyone here is saying that smoking pot makes you a bad guy.
2) Didnt Faulk get arrested shortly after the Pats 1st Super Bowl? I dont think it was for anything major, but its not like he is a choir boy.

By the way, for the team to vote him as team captain says a lot about his character. Though he's a valuble part of the team, he's not even a starter.

A person in his position should not be any where near drugs. It was incredibily stupid and only means he got caught before he lit up. He shouldn't care if he gets in the program if he's clean. A person doesn't tote joints and not smoke weed. Come on. It's not like he molested or killed someone, but it is a crime.

He says it wasn't his jacket

Exactly...we are talking a true stand up guy, I mean its pot, i could see if he was a drunk that got behind the wheel and killed a few people like one player we know in the nfl.

I'm not saying they weren't his or were his, but have you ever been somewhere and borrowed a friends jacket and not checked all of the pockets? I know I have before.. though now I think I'll be sure to check just incase. :hihi:

Well, at one point I was working for a sports management firm in ATL when I had dreams of being an agent, and I had to read the Collective Bargaining Agreement. It is a violation of the NFL drug policy to be caught in possession of illegal drugs, so Faulk is going to have to do some major explaining to Goodell and the cops to get out of this one. One of his buddies is going to have to come forward and say it was his jacket and Faulk had no knowledge of what was in it, and both the cops and the commish are going to have to believe him, and they are going to have to drop the charges or Faulk is going to be in the substance abuse program.

Guys....is this the same Kevin Faulk that we are talking about?...the one from Carencro that has been in trouble with the law several times within the past 2 years for intoxication, passing a barracade that was set up for police reasons and so on and so forth? Just curious...cuz, having grown up with him, I know he's not an angel but he's not the devil either...He's one of the guys who was an athlete who got passes from everyone because he was attending LSU...even his ACT score wasn't his...someone took the test for him to pass in order for him to be able to attend that university...He's a laid back dude, comes around Girard Park to shoot hoops during his off time, but like everyone else who's gotten in trouble under the new Commish...who you hang with truly seems to define you...Kevin's got good family out here, but some of his running buddies aren't street legal....that's all I'm saying...This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone really...Getting caught for weed at the Lil' Wayne concert was just plain ignorant for someone who has achieved his stature in the sports world....maybe that's just me, but still...You gotta be conscious of what's going on around you...

Not the 1st time for Faulk. In 1998 he was arrested in Lafayette for misdemeanor possession of marijuana. DA later dismissed the charges, something about illegal search. Guess that was not his jacket either.

I would think/hope it would take more than one incident to earn a place in the doghouse. I can't remember anything else Kevin has done.. he's always been a stand up guy (again from what I can remember)

Hmmm... I had forgotten, but reminded, that Kevin had a little issue back at LSU with an officer and a broken leg, and it quietly got swept under the rug...

Guys the joints, from what I was told by someone on the know, they were big "blunts"... I would call a doobie, not the little cigarette paper joints, the big fat stogie type...

Also, he had them in possession of his property, and he had his kid(s) with him... possession with a juvenile, F E L O N Y ... but I digress, cops gave him a break so, let's just say he got off with a summons and I wish I had his "outstanding" reputation with the community, but glad I don't have his HISTORY with law enforcement...
