Between restructures and extensions, the Lions can free up around $45m in additional cap space. So $58.6m now with the added potential of $45m would put them over $100m in cap space.

The 49ers are $3m over the cap. Designating Trent Williams as a June 1 cut saves $10m. Restructuring their next four highest cap hits frees $46m. So the best team in the NFC has at minimum $43m in cap space at the start of free agency.

The Chiefs have been to six straight AFC Championships and have $28m in cap space. When they re-do Mahomes contract, they'll free up another $34m in cap space. $62m in cap space for the AFC Champs.

I'm a big fan of building from the trenches back so I'd throw the kitchen sink at Justin Madubuike at DT but there might be too many constraints with our financials to make a splash like him.

A young (only 26) DT pushing QB pressures and sacks from the interior ala La'Roi Glover would be extremely helpful.

He has gotten better each year and would pair well next to Bresee in a dream world.

...but seriously, he's got that WR-TE hybrid look, not as athletic as Jimmy, I don't think, although looks to be faster... I looked as some draft projections, and I see him going as high as #5 overall, and not getting past the 1st round.

I know we can't afford it, but there are some players from that Ravens D I wouldn't mind seeing in black and gold. Queen, Marmaduke, Clowney, Maulet.
