That's right, Billy Kilmer, ol' Furnace Face, quarterback of the original Saints, then on a journey that would take him from New Orleans to the District of Columbia, where he quarterbacked the 1972 Washington Redskins.
That season the Redskins were known as the "Over The Hill Gang," a collection of Golden Oldies assembled by Coach George Allen. Their march to Super Bowl VII was as much a surprise as this season's march to XLII by the New York Giants.
