Kwon Alexander signs with Jets.

I wish Kwon all the luck in the world and I'm grateful for his time in NOLA. His stats don't accurately reflect the impact he had on the defense. He brought a spark that didn't show up in the box score but if you watched the games it was undeniable.

As far as on the field production goes I think we'll be fine with Werner. I never got caught up in the Kwon vs Werner debate but all I know is that it sure was nice to have them both. It was comforting to know that we had three guys that could man the two starting LB spots in what is essentially a base Nickel.

Then we also have CGJ who is a LBer trapped in a DB's body. He can run sideline to sideline making plays. He's excellent in short area coverage and he's surprisingly good in run support. Dude blows up a lot of outside runs before they even have a chance.

Last but not least we have the rest of the LBs on the roster. Hopefully one or two of them can step up if they're forced into a starting role for some reason. I'm really hoping D'Marco Jackson is the real deal. I don't want to expect too much from a 5th round pick but man, he sure looks the part.

Saints couldn't have THREE LSU GUYS on the roster at the same time! (Joke of course.) Kwon played pretty well here. I was hoping he would come back, but it's OK that he's going to the Jets. Should get more playing time there. Will be interesting to see how many snaps he can get in during the year.
if his last few seasons are any indication. itll be 8-9 games. hopefully last year wasnt a one time thing and he can stay healthier.

That's why he was struggling with the decision. He probably wanted to play for a contender but had to take the opportunity he had to continue playing. That's gotta be tough after a few seasons with us and the 49ers before that. To now sign with a team knowing you have no shot of winning anything.

We do? Outside of Demario. I’m really hoping that Demarco jackson surprises us. Werner is too small

OMG, this has been dispelled so many times….He is compact, not small and actually 15lbs heavier and a few inches taller than Kwon….but he didn’t play for LSU I guess is the issue…..

I love Kwon and wish him well….I wonder if Ali Highsmith or Trev Faulk are available?

werner is tied for the tallest LB on the field, and the 2nd heaviest. i think people see his pads and think he's small.

In just one NFL season, Pete Werner flashed potential to be Ohio State's most productive NFL linebacker since A.J. Hawk or James Laurinaitis - Land-Grant Holy Land

I’m glad for him. I’m also tired of seeing people bring him up constantly.

And I’m gonna be really annoyed if anyone lobbying for him brings up any good plays like it’s our fault for not signing him.

I've heard similar statements about being approached and reduced play elsewhere, so that much is probably true. Not sure about the ST thing, though.
If you’re a LB on a NFL active roster on game day… and you’re NOT a full time starter, then you DEFINITELY are going be on special teams.
