I wish Kwon all the luck in the world and I'm grateful for his time in NOLA. His stats don't accurately reflect the impact he had on the defense. He brought a spark that didn't show up in the box score but if you watched the games it was undeniable.
As far as on the field production goes I think we'll be fine with Werner. I never got caught up in the Kwon vs Werner debate but all I know is that it sure was nice to have them both. It was comforting to know that we had three guys that could man the two starting LB spots in what is essentially a base Nickel.
Then we also have CGJ who is a LBer trapped in a DB's body. He can run sideline to sideline making plays. He's excellent in short area coverage and he's surprisingly good in run support. Dude blows up a lot of outside runs before they even have a chance.
Last but not least we have the rest of the LBs on the roster. Hopefully one or two of them can step up if they're forced into a starting role for some reason. I'm really hoping D'Marco Jackson is the real deal. I don't want to expect too much from a 5th round pick but man, he sure looks the part.
