LB Willie Gay to the Saints on 1-year deal (Merged) (1 Viewer)

Won’t take long for Gay to see starter snaps if Werner continues lapsing in coverage

He played a lot on the strong side if you watch the KC tape and Werner is a legit player he will not take his spot but he is going to take the spot left open by the departure of Baun.

Gay seems to want to be on the field with Davis and Werner at the same time. He doesn't seem to want to replace Werner.

Gay looks like he might be good enough in coverage for Allen to use him as a hybrid LB/Safety in the packages he normally uses a hybrid Safety/LB. That would be better against the run and Gay supposedly is great at keeping running QB's in check.

Maybe Allen will run 3 line backers more and 3 safeties less. That may be why Gay appeals to them and why he signed with the Saints.

I also get confused as the person who hates the Pels, when in actuality the person who hates the Pels is the person that decided to roll with Willie Green.
So having your stars get injured the past two seasons is Willie's fault? What?

Who said anything about injuries?
Head Coaches in the NBA have nearly no impact on the game. Pop the "greatest coach" ever hasn't done sheet in a decade cause he doesn't have a stacked roster. Am I to believe Frank Vogel is a "good coach" cause he has a title? or Tyron Lue? Pelicans haven't struggled because of Willie, they struggled because their "big 3" barely played together until this season.

I’m talking about this season (and last season when the team was healthy).

His rotations (which he does control) have been nonsensical at times, and they aren’t ineffective because the stars aren’t playing well together, it’s because he rotates them all out at the same time, and gives you a lineup of Nance, Herb, Naji, Dyson, and JRE when you need buckets (not defense).
