ATLANTA -- Born just a year apart as NFL expansion franchises in the 1960s, the Atlanta Falcons and Saints are familiar rivals, each having played the other more often than any of the other teams in the league.
Today at the Georgia Dome, it will be the 75th meeting of the two sometimes less-than-friendly foes.
And for both, it could be, arguably, the most important game of the season as each currently teeters on losing streaks, a season-worst two games for the Saints, who are tied with Carolina atop the NFC South, and three in a row for the Falcons, who cannot afford a second loss to New Orleans.
