Least Favorite Foods? (5 Viewers)

I refused to try avocado for most of my life. About 9 years ago at the age of 46 I finally gave in and tried a buddies guacamole and now I eat it avocado on everything.
So, at best, you'll have only really lived for about half of your life.

never thought i'd say this. But I'm taking avocado/guacamole off my list

I have no idea how it happened, but I like it now
I’ve always like avocados & guacamole. Over recent years I’ve liked it less. Recently I started buying a lot more of my produce from the farmers market in my neighborhood and the difference between the avocados (and all other vegetables) I get there compared to what you get in the grocery store is significant and I am enjoying avocados again.

I don’t know what all they are doing to our food, have some idea, but it ain’t right. Fresh fruits and vegetables without all the extra crap are so much better.

Those giant smooth Florida avocados are gross.

Pretty much same here! It's the best, isn't it?

it is amazing how much better the farmers market produce is than the grocery store, and often cheaper to boot

Definitely not ever cheaper - at least not where I live.
Oof, I still remember checking out the market downtown when we were in San Diego. I mean, the stuff was huge and beautiful but this was over 10 years ago and it was exorbitant then!

Generally anything that looks un naturally large should probably raise a red flag. But I guess if you grew up eating tomatoes the size of softballs and chicken thighs twice the size they should be it seems natural enough. Also the fact that they little no flavor seems normal.

California does supply about 1/4 of the nation’s food so we are fortunate to have access to a lot of fresh produce at the farmers markets.

That’s one of the main things I noticed about the farmers market produce. It has flavor. I have always felt very “meh” about tomatoes but the fresh ones I’ve been getting I have been eating with everything.

Lucky. Even the FM tomatoes here aren't very good. I usually get the yellow heirlooms from the grocery, but they're expensive and not that good either.

They're pretty easy to grow.

What’s up with baked potato’s lately? They are all small. I remember getting potato’s the size of an eggplant.
