no era of rap music can touch the innovation and diversity of the 90s.....Beastie Boys, Wu-Tang, Tupac, A Tribe Called Quest, Spice 1, The Goats, Snoop, PE, Cypress Hill, Geto Boys, KRS-One and so many others...there was something for everyone

you could disagree with me, but you would be wrong

Amen. 90s hip-hop :worthy:

Briliant albums. Truly artistic sheet. The Low End Theory, Midnight Marauders, The Chronic, Aquemini, Check Your Head, on and on and on and on - I can't stop y'all, tick-tock y'all.

I just had a flashback to this piece of brilliance, that I haven't thought about in 20 years

90's was good but not even close to the 80's!!
LL Cool J
Run DMC (I could just stop there)
Kool Moe Dee
Fat boys
Whodini
Salt n Pepa
Beastie Boys (biggest album in 80's)
Eric B and Rakim
and the often imitated but ever duplicated 2 LIVE CREW!!

Ur welcome!!:):)

I’ll let Tribe slide as a90s group but no way in **** are you going to claim beasties as a 90s group
And since most of your groups are swinging on PE’s nutz, you can’t crow too loud

Beastie Boys are well placed in both the 80s and the 90s. They released two records in the 1980s and obviously fit there, but Check Your Head, Ill Communication, and Hello Nasty are 90s albums. I don't think you can have a discussion of 90s hip-hop and not spend a minute on them.

Facts is facts bro.

I'm just here tryin' ta get my pumpkin spice on. I don't know WHAT ya'll are talkin' 'bout.

sure they started in the 80s but the Beastie Boys made their best music in the 90s...that's not even debatable

and there is no rule that says a band had to start in the 90s...this is my thread
