Actually... Next year draft is much deeper. Even if say... That's it's 22nd pick. You'll be inclined to get a better prospect

Just classic options strategy. No use in pulling the trigger now for a non-lottery 17th when there is a chance next year's can be top 10.

I don't think it'll be a lottery pick unless somerthing catastrophic happens. Like LeBron leaves and AD request a trade and hire podcaster as a head coach.

Only takes Lebron or AD missing 30 - 50 games. Neither is a low probability. Lebron is well into that age range where that achilles says pop.

I do wonder if they decide to trade it out or own pick this off season. Kind of worried, because it should be better than our pick. Granted... we are going to have roster turnover for the 1st time in 3 seasons. So, we should still be a 40+ win team if the off season goes off without a hitch.

Edey appeared far quicker than expected in recent pro day workouts. If I recall, his coach at Purdue said that he had far more range but given his physical dominance (and lack of talent around him wasn't exactly said but implied) this was the gameplan he came up with. Apparently he was better than Donovan Clingan in agility drills and beat Nikola Vucevic's cone drill numbers

Looks like the large majority of mocks have us picking Missi from Baylor. I don't think we have a chance at getting Ware as virtually every mock I have seen has him going before the Lakers pick we could have had at 17. Granted had we kept the pick it wouldn't have taken much to move up and get him more than likely.

If we can get a stretch 5 to be on the floor with Zion, I really wouldn't mind Edey playing against reserves.

I just don't think Edey is the disaster some are painting him to be. We would not be in good shape if a center we draft this year is our starter (out of the 2 or 3 it would be possible for us to get including Ware) IMO which means we have to get one thru trade or FA

I think Edey's floor is a good bench center and matchup specialist which would not be a bad thing at 21 in a weak draft
