The Bengals and New Orleans Saints combined to score 72 points and gain 1,058 yards in their respective football games Sunday.
They both lost.
The two teams play this Sunday at the Louisiana Superdome and the game has all of the markings of being a shootout similar to Cincinnati's 49-41 loss against San Diego and New Orleans' 38-31 loss at Pittsburgh.
"From this point on I would hope that we would continue that same pace and be able to score 40 regardless of the opponent, regardless of who we're playing," said Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson, who caught a team-record 260 yards worth of Carson Palmer passes against San Diego, including two for long touchdowns. "What- ever defensive adjustments they make to stop us, hopefully we make the same offensive adjustments to continue to have the same type of game as we did last week."
