The Saints D Line is clearly one of the best front four in the NFL:

http://www.nfl.com/stats/playersort/NFL/DL-TACKLES/2006/regular .

They are very consistent as a unit, ranking on tackles at 14th (Grant), 22nd (Thomas), 25th (Smith), and 31st (Young) overall out of 281 defensive linemen in the NFL.

Will Smith is 6th overall in sacks, with Grant at 25th and Young at 39th overall in D linemen sacks. http://www.nfl.com/stats/playersort/NFL/DL-TACKLES/2006/regular?&_3:col_1=12

Good work guys!!! Best front four in the NFL!!! Geaux Saints!!!

The DLine has been pretty good and have stepped up to be the strength of our D. Just have to do better against the run (MV not included).

Well, if you don't include Vick, they did a helluva job against Dunn. He definitely didn't run to daylight.

I think for the most part, the D linemen have been doing well against the run. Our DE's have lost contain at times due to their aggressive play, but with the lack of depth at DB they have to be aggressive. Alot of other D lines in the NFL as a unit don't have as many tackles. IMO the Saints need more speed at LB to get to the corners when the run gets to the outside. But it also has alot to do with the lack of depth at the LB position. The Saints LB's are getting worn out by the fourth quarter.

Yeah! They did shut down Dunn, which I thought could have done more damage than he did. Otherwise, we have allowed too much running room for guys that have destroyed us in the past month.

Can we be a serious contender in the playoffs if we can't stop the run?
