LSU GM, Austin Thomas leaving (1 Viewer)

Tell us what you think of all the new hires at Tennessee. Glad to see you posting again.

My first thought is that Pruitt is a step in the right direction.

Quite frankly - given the past 8 years of Tennessee football you could have gotten some excitement from me just naming a coach that would have a fullback on the roster (much more so if he talks about actually using one).

Not sure if he can win some championships - obviously the full staff will give us a clearer picture on that.

A lot of problems at Tennessee: lack of leadership on both the academic and athletic side; a continual deferral to all things athletics to the Haslam family; and just a committment to the status quo.

Bottom line: baby steps. Not super excited about Fulmer being AD or Pruitt being coach - but they are both moves in the right direction.

Very good hire for the Vols. I'm sorry to see Austin Thomas go....he was a big part of the recruiting machine at LSU. He will definitely be missed!!!

Hickup.

The vols have evidently not yet hired Thomas and may never do so.

Stay tuned to see where he ends up.

Seems curious that he's not back in BR by now. Perhaps the Traore stunt didn't sit well with O?
