LSU vs Texas A&M (1 Viewer)

A&M bringing in the running qb was a game changer. If not for that, I think we win that game, even with the implosion of the kicking game.
It would be speculation either way. We’ll never know for sure.

My main takeaway from this game was Bryce Underwood needs to be prepared to start next year.

I think LSU wins going away if TAMU doesn't switch QBs. That changed the game dramatically

I mean, so what? They did and we lost.....and TBH I think just as large a problem was the fact we couldn't run the ball well....again.....leading to Nuss turnovers....again.....

TAMU scored 5 straight TDs with the new QB. That's not a running game or even a turnovers problem.

If Nuss doesn't have a single good SEC game by season end. I'll believe he would have to earn that spot to be QB1 next season.

He has been bad against every SEC opponents and that's a deal breaker

Everyone of those Nuss INT's set up a short field (2 in the 2nd half were absolute killers) and TD's.....without an effective running game, Nuss will turn it over like most QB's, he's not special......

Maybe you didn't notice but that is a huge turnover problem....and at it's core it's because of the LSU offensive line, horrible run blocking unit up until now.....no balance, no win against the better SEC teams.....

I didn't say there was a turnover problem. I said and implied that the defense wasn't stopping this Reed kid at all. The was the bigger issue. Even without the turnovers, TAMU was gonna get those scores. The only difference the fewer turnovers would have made was a closer final score.

Regarding your first line, you are correct, you never said there was a turnover problem.....and you were wrong.....

You are also make quite a leap to state as fact that TAMU was going "to get those scores" had they had to drive 70-80 yards instead of 8 and 26 yard drives.....c'mon Dave, you know better.....

The failure of this LSU team can be mostly attributed to a vastly overrated offensive line that is a poor run blocking unit and commits multiple drive nulling penalties against quality defenses.....

I give the LSU DC credit, this D was dead in the water earlier in the season, at least they are showing some life now.....

The turnovers were secondary to the defense being unable to stop TAMU’s offense in the 2nd half. There were long drives mixed in with the shorts ones and they scored TDs.

See my previous point. Nothing stopped TAMU’s offense in the 2nd half.

No question the OL looked awful most of the game.

Agreed, LSU’s defense has been much improved. I attribute the falloff in the second half to not being prepared for A&M’s backup QB. They need to make him the starter because that kid is ridiculously talented.

So the turnovers, which gave TAMU the ball at the LSU 8 and 26 were secondary? Sorry, that is absolute insanity.....if LSU goes on to score on one of those drives it's a 10-14 point swing.....alone......

Those turnovers, due to LSU being one dimensional (not able to run the ball effectively) were pretty much the deciding factor of that game......
