Mad Max (2 Viewers)

Game is fun, plenty of crap to do. There isn't anything that makes this game stand out as a game changer. Such as Mordor's Nemesis system. I guess the driving is supposed to be that stand out feature, but it is just average. They just made a pretty standard open world game with Mad Max tied to it.

Solid 6 of 10.

The game is fun, but it isn't gotytw. Would you care to inform us as to what makes this game stand out as more than slightly above average? So far the story is as barren as the waste land. So it isn't the story.

6/10 is a score i would give to a doodoofest like COD or Skyrim...

i don't think MM is a goty but it's worth playing, especially for those who like open world games with plenty to do...

the combat and driving controls are solid and it's a pretty game to look at

as for the story, it has about as much of a story as the Fury Road movie did...

7.5/10

A doodoo fest doesn't seem like it would have a score above a 4.

Cod is a 4. skyrim is a 9. PC skyrim is a 12. GTA is a 9 and PC GTA is a 1000.

Story in an Action movie is less important than story in a video game.

Without anything standing out, slightly above average is accurate.

Anita ... Can I get a parental review?

I've got an 11 yr old nephew asking for this game ... How bad is it?

No Boobs or wankers. Just a bit of blood & little gore.

Content Descriptors: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Use of Drugs

Rating Summary: This is an open-world action game, based on the Mad Max movie franchise, in which players assume the role of Max on a dangerous quest in a post-apocalyptic world. As players traverse the landscape, they use armored vehicles to destroy enemies and camps. Players use spiked bats, spears, sniper rifles, and shotguns to kill enemies in frenetic, melee-style combat. Players can also perform various slow-motion finishing moves (e.g., neck snap, fury kill) on enemies; combat is accompanied by realistic gunfire, large explosions, and blood-splatter effects. Some sequences depict mutilated corpses and body parts strewn in the environment. Cutscenes depict intense acts of violence, such as chainsaw impaling and throat-slitting attacks. During the course of the game, drugs are sometimes referenced in text (e.g., “It all has to do with how much nitrous oxide he has sniffed before the operation” and “When she is not fighting, she likes to huff inhalants such as nitrous, gasoline, and fume.”). One sequence depicts a character under the influence of an inhalant, delivered via a mask. The words “Fork” and “*****” are heard in dialogue.

i am going to let the dude play it when i am done...

there is some language but it's no more or less violent than 90% of the games out there

The cars are all foriegn cars. In Fury Road the cars were Murican.

Wankers.

Two Very Australian Things The Mad Max Video Game Got Right

There are two little touches in particular I’m appreciating, both of them related to my country of birth: the fact that the cars in the game are right-hand drive, and the fact there’s an actual real Australian doing Max’s voice.

Australians and Hollywood have a long and weird relationship when it comes to accents, and the Mad Max franchise is a perfect example. It’s a quintessentially Australian story, made by an Australian (George Miller) and starring a very Australian character, only Mel Gibson isn’t and wasn’t Australian, he just lived here long enough in his teens to have an accent by the time the first Mad Max came around. The latest film, despite being made by the same Australian and set once again in the country, stars a whole bunch of Aussies in supporting roles but has its two main parts played by a South African/American and Englishman respectively.

Well they should have made the cars in Fury Road for wankers instead of Murican.

WDF, can you make that picture larger? I don't think the people of the Andromeda Galaxy can quite see it yet.

Now that was funny... Just ordered it for PC and the Fury Road Blu Ray fer free on Amazon... Thanks sis for dat gift card...
