Marquez Callaway and Deonte Harty (2 Viewers)

Rasheed Shaheed is the Joker wild card that might upset the apple cart.

Might be a non-issue, but if Shaheed is healthy and makes noise in the preseason, shirt might get real.

:gosaints:
I believe Shaheed begins the season on PUP or IR. November wasn't that long ago (in terms of recovering from an ACL injury).

Callaway's RAS score was a lot higher than Deonte Harty's, but Deonte's lack of size and strength were the culprits. Deonte's speed was the main thing he had going for him... and that's what the Saints will use to good advantage.

Callaway will get more targets, more yds and TDs than Harty. Harty will get his touches, but he is just not an every down WR like Callaway is. Being an allpro KR will limit Harty's touches also. Many on SR don't see his limitations on the rest of the route tree. He was pressed into service last yr, and played well, but he is a a KR on this team. He will not even be the 1st WR to go in if a WR goes down.

Those predicting a big break out season for Harty at WR, will be very disappointed. DA is not going to get our our pro bowl KR busted up running WR routes this season. If you think I'm wrong, change my mind.

I think that’s totally incorrect.

I think Hardy and his demands for a new contract will take a backseat… Hardy will have to “prove it” primarily as a return specialist.

Callaway will be the 3rd/4th WR and he will thrive!

Watch once the spotlight of being a team’s #1 is off him how he dominates 3rd/4th CBs and box/reserve safeties.

Bet.

Peak offseason. Taking bets that a 4th string WR can dominate 4th string CBs and backup safeties.
