I doubt Lynch is going to come straight off the couch into a workhorse role in his first game back. It is a big game so we can only hope that he has one of those vintage beast mode performances.

Seems more inspirational to me than of substance... and Seattle definitely needs inspiration given all their recent injuries and suspensions.

I'll be surprised in Lynch gets more than 12 carries and gains more than 50 yards against the Whiners. I can hope but let's get real.

I think he is in decent shape. There are videos out on a thread we have. My presumption would be that he knocks the russt off in the first quarter and preps for the second half of the game. That is where our bread and butter are usually made. If we can keep the ninahs to a 7 pt lead at the half, we have a chance. I was told by ninnie fans that they are almost as banged up as we are. We shall see Sunday night.

Apparently Marshawn was at Oakland's home finale honoring the final Raiders game in Oakland by drinking shots in the stands with the Black hole faithful just a week ago .. per around the Around NFL podcast.

So his game shape might be questionable having to play on 6 days notice.

Tequila shots in the stands and the Tailgater at the final game there. And he is already merchandizing himself out. Has Tshirts out of beast things. He also visited on 12/12. So he knew that he may be able to play. So has been preparing for longer than just a week. Try all month.

A friend who's a diehard Hawks fan who lived here for years said he only expects Lynch to get a handful of carries, but his mere presence coming out of the tunnel will send the fans into a frenzy the way the sight of Deuce running out of the tunnel in 09 did for us.

And hey, anyone who's available to be signed at this point in the season is going to be available for a reason (they're not great), so why not sign the guy who will fire up the crowd with his mere presence?
