Mascona has had enough (so have I) (2 Viewers)

He has no actual knowledge of the team he's pretty much just an emotional SR.com member with a YouTube page.
I think no one actually have real knowledge of how the team operates if we're being honest. Even the folks on the ground with access.

I respect your opinion but you're wrong.

He's had many Saints insiders on his show so I wouldn't say that he's uninformed.

His rants do tend to get very angry, loud, and emotional and he can be abrasive but the product the Saints are putting on the field right now will bring that out in people.

We're all angry and frustrated.

The Saints are a combination of a dumpster fire and a train wreck thrown into a bed pan gumbo in a bottomless pit right now.

10 years ago Mickey Loomis was the genius behind all the salary cap moves that kept the Saints relevant for years but we all knew that at some point it was going to catch up and the bills would have be paid. He gambled with the future of the team and the future is now.

Like it or not we're going to see a lot more failure before it gets better and while Moscona's rant may not be welled received he's still not wrong.

If you want true honest assessment of the team then you want Kevin Foote...

If I had his platform I doubt I’d have a much different attitude than he does. He’s saying the same thing most of us are saying except he has a microphone and gets paid to do it. I personally like Matt. I don’t always agree with everything but unlike some New Orleans media that need to curb their enthusiasm, he’s allowed to say exactly what he wants and how he wants. The buck stops with Mickey. Problem is NONE of the New Orleans media is going to push the right questions especially towards Loomis. Allen is not a good coach, hell he’s not even mediocre, but this team is where it is because Mickey put them there.

Those who can do, those who can't cry about it. What was his solution.
Lol, there is no solution until the cancer is gone. It will only spread the longer it is here. There is nothing Matt, nor myself, or you can do about it. So, here we are, on SR, complaining, looking for answers, for the 3rd straight year. Thought the NFL stood for Not For Long, and results based, but I’m now at the age of 45, hearing that it is not. How can any of us have a solution, when good ole Mickey flipped the script?!?!

Talk radio is largely entertainment. Matt's technical skills are superior to those of nearly everyone in the New Orleans radio market, though Detillier remains a favorite. But the bottom line is that his diagnosis and prognosis of the team have been largely right for three years.

Loomis's approach over the last three years--continuity, win now with a team lacking win-now talent, trading away draft picks to move up in the draft, pushing back every year the consequences of highly aggressive salary-cap management--is shared by few others in the NFL. With good reason.

That he does not have a tent pitched out on Airline Drive is a strength because it provides distance for him to say what should be said. He has access to those with the tents who will tell him what they dare not say in their newsletter or on their television broadcast as well as those who cover other teams. And the true state of the team is seen in the games in fall, not in August practices.

We all know the saints are bad right now we don't need to be told that. We need solutions, not just fire DA, but replace him with who
Hire a real GM and make Loomis wear only one hat (el Presidente of the Benson sports empire) then make the new GM fire DA and replace him. Likelihood of this happening -zero percent. Still fun to dream.

Same here. I actually enjoy his show. Like I said before, I just don’t like the Emperor of Empty yards bit. It’s just the sounds of the horns. I think he could’ve done something a bit more creative than that, but I get the premise of it. I like his delivery, how he provides statistical data for his opinions, his honesty, and I most definitely LOVE his super rants. I think it’s pretty hilarious when he blows his lid🤣. Especially when he goes live in his car after a loss. Dude says all of the things that should be said. Also, I don’t like his opening music. It doesn’t set the tone for me, but I suffer through it.

The rants are a big reason why I don't care for it. To each his own tho.

Mascona wasn't wrong with anything he said. It is going to get a whole lot worse for Loomis the more he talks as these final 9 games play out. Fans are done with glass half-full takes and the endless excuse making. Nobody is expecting Loomis to start throwing people under the bus in a public forum but for gods sake man, stop acting tone-deaf when making public statements on your weekly appearance. I don't know what kinda obligations he has with the Saints radio network but he probably should stop going on the show if he's just gonna continue to spout tone deaf, now bulletin board material for the fans.

No matter what happens this week at Carolina, win or god forbid lose. If the dome is taken over by Falcons fans, it is going to get even more ugly.
