If Tyrann Mathieu is not sign by 3pm May 2, I willing to bet he will be sign by the Saints soon thereafter.

Out of curiosity, where else might they draft them?Saints have been prolific at drafting talented safety's in the draft.
Some hope

Time to bring this thread back alive lol
Well, ultimately it's going to be a matter of how much Tyrann is willing to come back off of his salary demands. I don't see the Saints shelling out what he was asking for. Then again, I'm not sure what other team is able to give him that much money either.Time to bring this thread back alive lol
They may already have a gentlemen’s agreement. Since Nick Underhill said this yesterday. “There is also a big need at safety that will need to get addressed. Tyrann Mathieu remains the best option for that spot.
Players signed after 3 p.m. on Monday will not count against the compensatory pick formula. That formula weighs the value of free agents added versus those lost to award bonus picks in the draft. Waiting to sign someone who will be a big contributor like Mathieu makes a lot of sense.”
