Maybe we’ll get unbiased player evals (14 Viewers)

A deep voiced narration does not change the fact that Moore knows he didn't have the physical traits needed to be a successful QB and his RAS showed that, so Moore's more likely to think it's a good tool to have in the toolbox.

Secondly, it's Jeff Ireland that lead the charge on high RAS scores and Payton jumped on the bandwagon. Loomis is not the one driving the RAS bus.

Org chart would say Loomis is Ireland's boss. So, in the most generalist way, not bashing anyone, where's the accountability? It doesn't seem to exist but if the owner's ok with that, onward we go.

You and I both like Kellen Moore, so we got that going for us.

Baked in to Payton-Loomis was getting over on, and outsmarting people. The litany of successful arrogance is all over the place. Basketballer Jimmy Graham, the cojones of Ambush, Bring the Wood/Kill the Head, Vicodin like candy, jokers Bush and Sproles, and Swiss Army Knife without a real position Taysom Hill, etc... It was partially motivated by arrogance but arrogance can be a trait of successful people. Davenport was probably the turning point where the arrogance failed. Payton left, the arrogance stayed, but Payton took with him the better player eval skills from the management team. So we've seen the poor results.

In the years from watching Kellen with the Cowboys forward, I have not seen arrogance. So hopefully his player evals are more clear-minded, and not in part motivated by arrogance.

Pretty much spot-on, from my perspective as a fan. Bolded is especially true, again from the outside looking in.

When DA took over as HC, the defense went south. I suspect that the head coaching duties took too much away from his focus on the defense. By that time, however, the DBs were coached up and continued to play pretty well, except for Adebo’s penalties.

But the front seven quality deteriorated, That wasn’t DA’s forte, and it showed. None of the defensive coaches were able to coach up the front seven, so we now have a big problem with lack of solid player evaluation, drafting players like Foskey, and losing mismatched players like Elliss, Hendrickson, and Baun. Cap considerations aside, there have been a lot of personnel mistakes, especially within the front seven.

That’s a very good reason to get outside coaches. The defense, especially, is a muddle, and needs fresh perspectives from new coaches.

Loomis is not accountable to anyone but those above him, which ultimately ends with Gayle. They apparently have a different opinion of Loomis than you do.

Your complaints should also be aimed at the people who you don't think are holding Loomis accountable, buy your complaints do not include them. Loomis is just a whipping boy.
