Maybe we should hire Univ of Washington’s Offensive Coordinator (1 Viewer)

Those guys move the ball at will and the announcer says that they scheme it in a way that Penix doesn’t get many sacks. He gets it out quickly.
I know it’s been said many times and many ways, but why wouldn’t a Washington type offense work here?

I will tell you this: UW HC Kalen Deboer is a forking idiot who is either clueless, stupid, or unintentionally reckless because he literally TRIED HIS DAMNEST TO fork UP A GREAT EFFORT BY HIS OVERALL TEAM, by BEING CUTE AGAIN IN THE LAST 1:00 by not kneeling on 3rd down and killing maybe 40 seconds and leaving Texas only 15 seconds left for a mostly unrealistic attempt at a futile comeback, no, no, that STUPID maternal fornicator ran it on 3rd down to his RB, he gets injured by screaming in pain like a newly-born baby, clock stops with .50 seconds left and some other ST dumbarse interferes with UT's punt-returner, adds 15-yarder and Texas nearly pulls off one hell of a major upset, by one freaking point.

Some NCAAF and NFL HC's are clueless, stupid, incompetent or have brain forkups at the worst, most inopportune times in games that ruin excellent, outstanding performances by players on their squads or made some idiotic decisions that unnecessarily cost their teams wins.

Kalen Deboer is an absolute idiot who didnt deserve to win this game, but whose defense bailed his sorry, pathetic arse out. On-field analytics will tell you kneeling the ball on third down and killing 40 seconds out of 1:00 left in a game you're winning IS THE RIGHT, CORRECT THING TO DO instead of being cute and risking an injury, especially to one of your best offensive players.
Or called a pass before the field goal to put them up by 9.

why ya'll not clamoring for Joe Brady, an even hotter college OC name? oh yeah, he was proven to not have NFL magic.

I think that Penix will be the best QB out of this year's talented QB class and I would hire their OC if possible.
Agree, Penix is best available QB and somebody will grab him early, but with two ACL injuries in college, will he hold up?

It really is amazing to see how effortless these modern offenses move the ball up and down the field. Not just in college but in general. They make it look so easy. They do things that make sense.

One of the best things about these modern offenses is how they constantly put pressure on the defense to cover the entire field. They get the ball out quick and force defenders to run and chase all game long. Defenses get gassed and you see pass catchers running wide open in space. You see more and more mental lapses as defenders have nothing left in the tank.

That's been the frustrating thing to me as a Saints fan, our guys usually don't have a lot of space on the field to create after the catch. Even when we had Drew and SP. Late in Drew's career, when the deep ball was no longer a threat, he had to throw into the tightest windows I have ever seen. Our pass catchers seemed to always have a defender draped over them. The field seemed to shrink when we were on offense. Sometimes it seemed like the defense was playing with 14 guys. The offense was functioning as it was designed and we had a lot of success with it. But still, I've been jealous of the offenses that play basketball on grass while we play football on a basketball court.
