Mock Draft McShay's Mock: Saints select Dart at 9. McShay doesn’t see Moore drafting Sanders. (11 Viewers)

With all the holes on this ball club, to even have speculation of QB is asinine. Although, playing for the 4 spot I the division, what difference would it make? Still in all Dart is trash!

When watching Dart's highlights, I get a Josh Allen comp. Granted, I haven't watched his lowlights. Anyone else?
From the games I watched he never got better I think the team got better if that makes since to you.... I never seen him in situations for all your typical NFL throws... unlike from what you see from Sanders and Ward.... in this case being drafted ahead of Sanders because Dart is more athletic... rather have the QB who can make all the throws than a athletic QB who cant.... look at Newton in Carolina probably the most gifted QB we have ever seen but could never get those touch passes down always throwing darts

If he believes he’s our franchise QB then yes. Snag him. Silly to wait in that scenario.

I’ve long said Dart will be the 2nd QB off the board and a shocking selection for near everyone would be him being first off the board. Everyone has crowned Ward, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up being Dart.

Shough has become my QB3 off the board. I’m still un decided if it’s Sanders or McCord next. I think it’s a coin flip currently but I need to think on it more.
Local team is the Titans, from all the buzz around Ward I’ll be amazed if he’s not their pick. I’ll go as far as to guarantee it, unless they trade the pick.

I have Dart as my QB2. Far more upside than Sanders, and frankly Milroe isn’t even a QB. I would put him on par with Nix and McCarthy last year…who both went around #9. I can live with it. Trading down is going to lose him. If you’re going to “reach” then do it on a QB. I’m not convinced that anyone we get at #9 truly earns the grade

A better Baker Mayfield I think is a more appropriate comparison. Dart is less run through and more quick. His accuracy will only get better, and it’s already average by NFL standards

But I really do believe he should sit a year, maybe two. If so I’m pretty convinced the patience would pay off better than it did with Love and the Packers.

He’d be pretty good here, but I think his best landing spot would be the Rams with McVay sitting behind Stafford for a year or two.
Accuracy doesn’t get better. It’s simply a gift. What you’re seeing is qbs who got better at predicting. Presnap analysis.

The common consensus. Yet I can’t ignore that the adversity Dart has overcome using his leadership traits, football IQ and athleticism has certainly given pause to some for some measure of consideration. All it takes is 1 team, but it certainly does seem the Titans are heavily leaving to Ward.

It's important to note that even the pros get it wrong plenty, despite all their resources. You have to look no further back then last year. Anyone who watched both USC and LSU knew JD5 was the selection the Bears should've made. Yet the Bears rolled with Caleb Williams and they got it wrong. Not because Caleb Williams will be a bust. But because JD5 was simply better and already has proven it.

I'm not saying Dart is better then Ward. I didn't watch Ward (only highlights) so I can't make that claim out of anything but ignorance and arrogance. This is why I refrain on commenting on Ward's chances for success vs not. But I won't dismiss Dart just because the media who get's it wrong every year seemingly says I should. T

In Todd McShay's mock draft posted today via his YouTube podcast, he has a surprise pick of Dart to Saints at 9 (with Sanders still available) and feels strongly that Sanders is not a fit for Coach Moore. He reiterated that he is just sharing the intel he's gathered. This would track with what I've been saying about signs pointing to Sanders not being the pick at 9, though I didn't have us selecting Dart there either. What a crazy draft season this year. Feels like anything could happen.

FYI he has Cleveland trading up to 15 with the Falcons to draft Shedeur.

Agree, but hopefully we get someone else other than QB at 9. But, if they feel we have to go that route then of course I’ll support that 100%.

I think Pittsburgh goes Sanders eventually or trades up a few spots but not many.

Mcshay wanted us to pick Lamar Jackson years ago. We flopped that.
The upside of Dart is there and should be looked at heavily. The kid has game and can run as well.

If they want to draft a QB at 9, then I hope it's Dart. As you said: There is upside and he comes from the SEC, with heavily competition. Another factor is his age. He is young, only 21. I do like Shough, but he's already 25, 26 when the season starts. If you sit him a year he'll be 27 when he's under center. That's the age Dart would have when he signs his next contract. I would not be mad if they don't draft a QB at all this year, but if they do, then please Dart.
