I don't think vacarro plays. Get Jenkins and possibly harper back out there and we will be OK.

Kenny V must've been a little lightheaded when he posted that. In all seriousness, there's no way that the NFL is letting him play after coming off of 2 straight concussions. With all the concussion stuff they're having legal trouble over, if KV got a 3rd concussion in 3 weeks, I'm pretty sure the media would have a field day.

Your point still stands, but it hasn't been 2 weeks, 2 concussions. Concussion 1 came back on 10/27 on that play he and Keenan Lewis collided on. So it would be 2 concussions in 3 weeks he's had, both on unfortunate incidents.

It's not like he's sustaining them on routine plays.

If KV is seeing reports and taking that he's out when he really isn't, all the more reason to let his brain rest for a week. It's a home game. We can spare him. Especially if we're getting Jenkins back.

Wouldn't put too much into Vaccaro playing this week.. He broke a SP rule of not discussing injuries and now is back peddling. He'll be out this week.

I had the same thought as soon as I read Trip's tweet.

Sorry for my memory lapse. I was thinking that the collision with Lewis was against the Jets. I knew for sure the first concussion wasn't a routine play, because I saw the replays on tv after it happened. However, I was fortunate enough to be in the dome for the Dallas game and I didn't even see which play it happened on. Thanks for clearing that up! I'm glad to know it wasn't on a standard tackle.

That's dangerous thinking. I seem to recall giving questionable guys the week off against Seattle because they were only 7-9 and finding ourselves out of the playoffs. There's no telling how any given game is going to go... got to put your best players on the field if they're able to play.

These reporters got jokes. Both Harbaugh and Payton were asked about the electricity? Really?

lol what? Life > a game, man. Geez.

1) Multiple concussions in three weeks
2) Rookie year for a player who appears to have many (violent) playing years ahead
3) Plays a concussion-prone position

The dangerous thinking is equating Vaccaro's situation with the injuries that sidelined Thomas, Jenkins and Ivory for the Seattle game.

I say SP is thinking/playing for the long run, and will sit em when he can.

Moreover, the D has had its share of dinged up players all season. But its been RRs commitment to developing depth that has kept the D humming right along.
