Adams only costing about 3M in salary the rest of the year so he could fit on pretty much any team. Next year is another story though and I assume the raiders would want a 1st for him at least since they traded a 1st AND 2nd for him less than 2 years ago

If we’re in win now mode, and Carr is on a pretty much 3 year deal. There’s no better time than the present.

I’m down to trade for him as long as the compensation is in line. I just don’t see him coexisting with MT13. And Olave has too much upside on a rookie deal.

MT is gone after this season IMO.

I’d be down to both trade him away and bring in Adams tomorrow, but we all know the Saints don’t make sexy trade deadline moves like that.

Anzalone, TRex, Marcus, Ceedy, Kaden Ellis, Onyemata.

That’s what dead money does to young talent.

I hear you but of those 6 players only 3 were really loved here in T-Rex, Ceedy, and Onyemata. I always liked Anzalone but he couldn’t stay on the field for us. Ellis came on strong last season (maybe Payton’s last season too) but before that barely played. Marcus Williams was great but a lot of people never let go of the Minnesota Miracle and I don’t think Maye is a very big downgrade if at all honestly.

If I’m Loomis, and I go after Carr, I’m thinking his plan was to eventually get Adams as well. It’s a great hand your dealt, you have to play it. Otherwise you’re not really serious. To your point, Why couldn't he coexist with MT13? you think too many alphas? Olave would still be in his same position. You play either Adams or Mt13 in the slot.

It’s just too many mouths to feed. And MT is the closest in terms of similar play style / body type as a player to Adams than all of our WRs. And we haven’t even discussed money yet.

Both guys are really outside guys that move inside in certain situations. But having Adams outside and Sheed outside puts Olave on the inside where his quickness and route running can really shine.

Adams and Sheed can run by 1 on 1 coverage…. MT13 not so much.

I agree to some extent. I like AA and thought we bailed too soon on him. I really like Ellis too. Both young and at a position of need for both depth and future. We would be a better defense with Ceedy for sure but we couldn't afford him so I was actually happy with the trade. Would have been happier if we managed the cap better. TRex was easy to see coming. I was a huge fan of Onyemata but he was much better juiced up.

Throw in Vonn Bell and Davenport and we walked young guys good enough to field a top 15 defense outside of a couple of corners while being the oldest team in the league. As cruel as it sounds, thankfully Davenport got hurt because if he was able to stay healthy after leaving here we would have all stroked.

Just noticed the Lions’ throwback helmets. Not sure how I feel about them, definitely have that 60’s look to them.

I like the alt uniforms, and I think the color scheme meshes well together.
