Mock Draft [Simulators] Compilation Thread - 2024 NFL Draft (3 Viewers)

Man it seems like if you don’t go OT in the first then it gets hard to find a good one later

And I’ll be honest, I drafted the Iowa TE because I forgot I drafted Bowers 😂

Look at last year's draft. Guys who can start right away at OT are rare. Most take a few years. Smart teams plan ahead and grab guys like Jones and Foster in mid rounds and wait for them to develop. Guys like Loomis don't plan ahead well blow 1st rounders and then have to use high picks to fill holes.

Did this one w/no trades. I know OT is a need, but i think Latu is way too good to pass up. Plus, as cringy as it is, we do still have Penning. & he does fit the new offense. This class has so much talent at the position too, so i went w/the guy who I believe is the best overall defender in this class, Latu.

Latu, Verse, Turner & Fuaga were gone in this one, so i traded down & moved around the board to get back into Day 2. I specifically targeted Rosengarten & Booker. Roger Rosengarten is literally Ry-Ram’s doppelganger & Austin Booker is Maxx Crosby’s. I believe Rosengarten & Booker are the most slept on prospects at their positions.

Booker in particular gets almost no mentions since his “poor” showing at the Combine. Dude…watch the film, the Senior Bowl practices, & anything football related. That dude had an arsenal of pass rush moves & is a true EDGE zombie. If we miss on Latu, i hope we draft Austin Booker.

Saints should do both and draft a high OT and a mid round one

Followed the likely path of Loomis giving up a 2025 second to get a further pick or two. Plus a trade down in the first. Ended up scooping up some fallers.

P.S. I tend to mock just the first 5 rounds. Would probably target Cornelius Johnson and Omar Speights in the final rounds, if PFF's rankings are to be believed.

No trades. Lucked out on the first 2 picks.

It's really hard to resist the urge to make a bunch of crazy trades in these things, but I think I'd be pretty happy with a draft like this one

My one and only traded back I'd love this one can only hope

Here’s my final mock draft.

We have to trade up to 9 with the Bears to get Taliese Fuaga.

Then we go defense for the second pick. I know there’s a lot of talk about wide receiver but I don’t like the value at 45. Braden Fiske DT Florida state give us another defensive tackle with pass rush capabilities to add to the interior.

In the 5th we get another tackle who the saints encountered at Texas’ pro day. Christian Jones has a good athletic profile and could develop into a good starter.

Then we get our annual defensive back Kamal Haden who has the tools but needs some coaching.

OT KT Leveston is more of a guard. He will compete with Saldeveri, Ruiz and the new guy for a guard spot.

Josh Proctor satisfies our Ohio State requirement and can play safety and special teams.

Isaac Guerendo is fast but needs better vision. I considered taking Iowa punter Tory Taylor here but hoped he would fall and he didn’t unfortunately.

TE AJ Barner adds a blocker and a sneaky receiving threat.

Joshua Cephus is likely a practice squad developmental player.
