I don’t know who Jack Kiser is but that’s a heckuva LB name. Put him one the team!
RD1. Mike Green EDGE Marshall. For me, it's always been between TMac & Mike Green at 9. But as of late, Mike Green has separated a bit & become my favorite prospect. Straight up, Mike Green is Khalil Mack. That pass rush repertoire & relentless 300mph pressure is exactly what our D desperately needs. If we end up hiring Brandon Staley as our DC, Mike Green instantly addresses a must have position & becomes a foundational building block of his 34 scheme.
RD2. Donavon Ezieruaku EDGE BCU. Love, & always will love Cam Jordan! But his best days are unfortunately behind him. Respect to the rest of our EDGE rushers, but not a one of those dudes is starter material. Granderson’s good, but he’s prob better as a high end rotational player. Ezieruaku, like Green, brings explosive flaming bat out of hell pressure in pursuit of the ball carrier. Pairing Ezieruaku w/Mike Green would/could potentially solve our pass rush woes in a single draft class. Ezieruaku consistently shows a ton bend & speed to power on true passing downs. Donavan Ezieruaku reminds me of Harold Landry.
RD3. Alfred Collins IDL/NT Texas. Collins could quietly be the best NT available in the class. A Staley hire would make a guy like Collins even more valuable. The man is a legit force vs the run & does a ton of the dirty work for the playmakers around him. He also flashes pass rush ability w/a nasty bullrush & a pretty good burst off the snap. Bresee & i think Cam would/could be 5T DEs w/Collins manning the nose. Philla won the SB w/D, not O, & im pretty sure Kellen Moore knows it. If there was a year to load up & strengthen the defensive trenches, it’s this one. I think Mike Green, Donavon Ezieruaku, & Alfred Collins could solve both our run & pass rush issues in a single draft class.
RD3. Anthony Belton OT NC ST. This dude is BIG at 6’5 350ish! Belton has prototypical size & length at the position. This dude is old school 1980’s nasty. A bully type who mauls defenders out the plays in the run & pass. If Penning fails to improve & solidify himself at the position, or if we decide against his 5th year option, Belton will already be in house to replace Penning. Maybe they try Penning at OG & he’s a better fit. If so, then Belton can slide in & compete to start opposite Fuaga.
RD4 Terrance Ferguson TE Oregon. We desperately need a contested catch, chain moving, RZ mismatch & gotta have the catch presence on O, & Ferguson has the potential to be that type of guy at TE. Ferguson blocks, plays inline, lines up out wide, in the slot & in the backfield. He has dependable hands & will kill you in the seams. Ferguson Reminds me a lot of Cole Kmet.
RD4. Tai Fulton WR Maryland. We need more talent at the WR position w/Olave & Rashid seemingly always injured. Fulton is a long limbed playmaker w/excellent hands & RAC ability. This dude has a ton of twitch to his game & can beat coverage w/his route running as well as flat out speed. Fulton is kind of a cross between Olave & Rashid. Im a big fan of Fulton. He reminds me of Stefon Diggs.
RD6. Corey Kiner RB Cincinnati. Usually i go w/Lequint Allen or Cam Skattaboo, but another RB im super hyped on is Corey Kiner. The dude may be short, but he’s thick & densely built. Love the slashing, one cut power back style Kiner runs with. Though he wasnt super involved in the passing game at Cinci, he has good hands & has untapped potential as a receiver. Just watch this dude when you can. His film is a fun watch. As a runner, Corey Kiner reminds me a ton of Ray Rice.
RD7. Glendon Miller S Maryland. At the end of 23 & onto the beginning of the 24 season, Miller was developing into a true ballhawk. He still has that in his skillset, but Miller, like the rest of the Maryland D, fell off to end the year. Miller has size & length in coverage, & his a willing run defender. But make no mistake, his specialty is coverage. Unfortunately, Maryland sucked last year & played from behind in nearly every game to close the year. But in games where the D forced opponents to pass, Miller shinned in coverage. Glendon Miller reminds me of Grant Delpit.
RD7. Dan Jackson S Georgia. Like Mike Green, Dan Jackson is one of my “guys” & i pick him in almost every mock i do. If the GA D was the Avengers, Dan Jackson would be Hawkeye. He may not have the superpowers the rest of the team has, but Jackson’s reliable, does his job at a high level, & makes the plays that come his way. In my opinion, he has a lot of untapped playmaking & ballhawk ability. Like he showed at GA, Dan Jackson is the type guy that out hustles, works & ultimately beats out guys to be the starter. I believe that for a Day3 guy, Jackson has the potential to work his way into a starting line up. He reminds of Alohi Gilman.
