I would've loved to trade down and still get Barron plus a couple of 3rd and 4th rounders, but Mickey Loomis' track record says very clearly he's not trading down. I hope he makes me eat crow.

All the players I wanted went off the board and I got into a drafting pattern I didn't like but couldn't get out of. Traded down when I didn't want to, didn't get the best deal etc.Hmmm I like the positions you drafted but the players are all wrong
For Emmanwori, it's value and knowing that this is likely Honey Badger's last season here. Why not replace him with a physical freak who's a monster against the run and mobile QBs and decent in coverage. Mukuba because he's quick, instinctive, has played nickel corner as well as free and strong safety and hits like a Mack truck despite being a little on the light side. Also gives us positional versatility because we really don't know if Alontae is going to stick around here or (more likely) go to the Bears under DA and become a superstar in a larger market. Mukuba grants us flexibility for the future as well as not having to teach a guy how to play nickel corner.
Tyler Warren at 45???
I hate it when that happens. That's as real life as it gets. It's Mickey's biggest fear, which is why he trades up so much...LOL!!!All the players I wanted went off the board and I got into a drafting pattern I didn't like but couldn't get out of. Doubt the panthers take warrenI don't know if anyone here listens, but I love Pat Kirwan & Jim Miller on moving the chains, and their first mock was Friday. Jim was the GM picking for the Saints. Right before the Saints pick, PK had the Panthers take the TE Warren. Due to that, Jim drafted Colston Loveland @ the 9 spot. I thought it was interesting, because it seems like a move you can move back a few spots to grab him.
Yeah. Though some analysts think Loveland will be the better pro.
