Relax....likely posturing to negotiate for leverage. And even if 100% truth...so what...the Saints weren't CSP's preferred destination in 2006 either. He preferred the Packers. And yet, somehow, still ended up as HC of the Saints. We would be so lucky to have that lightning bolt strike the same way a 2nd time.

That's not an AG endorsement, because I think it's WAY too soon for my opinion to be etched. That's just a mitigation of the outside noise of rumor & innuendo. Until then....if AG prefers the Jets job.....so what?! It's a non-issue until the Saints extend an offer, AND the Jets extend one too.

I can. The Jets? Owned by Woody Johnson?
And apparently run by his teenaged son. If that’s what Glenn wants, let him go for it. But I’m not buying it and still feel he’s the Who Dat frontrunner and that’s what he would want between the Saints and Jets. I also think that’s why he talked about not being a defensive coach only — he’s talking about the Saints (and maybe keeping Kubiak?)

I think it's for everyone. Jets fans want an offensive head coach.

It's all speculation everywhere at this point. These guys aren't coming out to the media to say "I want to be here". However, depending on their circle things will get out. Everyone knew Vrabel was going to New England, McDaniels was known to be Miami's first choice. Sometimes they get out and they're right, sometimes they're wrong. We'll know here in about 3 weeks what's what.

This is just speculation by Ralph, but it makes a lot of sense that Glenn's agent would float this rumor to make sure the Saints make a good offer and hope to entice other teams to step up their efforts. It's tough for a defensive coach to get HC jobs these days and they have little leverage to get the best salary or to negotiate things like staff size and money for staff contracts.
