{mod edit} Ole Miss drama (1 Viewer)

I think they start the game every year with a reenactment. :D.

Moments like this make me glad I am an Auburn fan and will not have to hear about some meaningless rivalry game in a state that recieves scant attention in the sports media. Sorry Mississippi, the two states next to you own you and get your recruits among themselves. If it isnt LSU or Auburn, its Bama.

BTW Reb Saint Tommy Tuberville still left your school and now is at a better place and has us heading in a good direction.

This is Saintman2884 and I have been warring eagles since 1979.

Was that even necessary?

Was that even necessary?

yeah it was.

saintman is an auburn fan - and as such he loves beating those mississippi schools twice a year. you gotta have some smack to make it interesting - otherwise who cares? its not like they put up much a fight anyways.

Saintman28lamolamo,

Now, now, don't be mad that Saints camp is in Mississippi. The QB of your NFL team said this today:

“Hey, where would you rather be right now than Jackson, Mississippi,” Brees said.

I am really inspired, however, by your cute little sign off. :9:
Mmmmmmm, not really.

hey legion their is a big difference between college and pro. and yeah I did give both Miss. schools kind of a rub the wrong way. but in all fairness dude, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn, are quite a ways ahead of Ole Miss and MSU. WE have more resources, more recruiting ablity, and better coaching to get better results on the field. the odd thing is that auburn used to be on the brink of falling apart after Terry Bowden left under VERY BAD conditions. Tuberville took this school and this football program and made gold out of dirt silver. Thats hard to do in the SEC today. Plus he had help from Alabama getting put on probation. That put us ahead of the race in this state. But Ole Miss and MSU really are lacking in terms of comparing them to the big boys.

Tennessee, Auburn, LSU are just bigger schools and can get better leeway. Hell My God I think South Carolina has more going for it then Ole Miss does.

But not to take away from Ole Miss altogether, they have their own niche in the SEC, their just not the type of team that can tangle with all the big boys year after year

I'm going to have to somewhat disagree here. Although you're pretty much accurate about how far ahead of Mississippi schools other programs are, in many ways I thought Ole Miss showed some marked improvement regarding recruiting and being competitive compared to the year before

Might I remind you that Ole Miss was damn competitive in the LSU, Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama games. They could have easily had two or three more wins. But I know, football isn't horseshoes or hand grenades. Most experts swear that Orgeron's done some fine work recruiting better players; the jury's still out on whether or not it will translate into more wins on a consistent basis to be anywhere competitive in the SEC.

I'm not holding my breath.

Well good luck Reb because it isnt getting any easier in the SEC now. I mean I read a story that pretty much said that LSU was the odds on favorite to win the SEC outright hook, line, and sinker. and why not? They have a good team, hell of a defense, and quite a good prospect in Flynn. So do I see some progress in the future for Ole Miss? Maybe. They make a bowl appearance this year if a few things go their way in one of thier games. They should have beaten LSU last year Reb, I mean I am sorry anytime you lose a game in the last few seconds to a team like that its hard to bear.

Although I don;'t think LSU will ever forget last year's game in Auburn. That game was brutal, and took a lot out of both teams. And the way it ended, LSU fans were fighting mad, I am lucky I wasn't in Baton Rouge afterwards, REb, I probably would have gotten my *** kicked and heckled severely.

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.

I bet all your little bovines are just pining for you to return to that cow pasture passing itself off as an instituton of higher learning.

In anything and everything. Ole Miss > State.

I am amazed that an Ole Miss fan can even spell.

Sorry Saintman2884,

Croom is just a coach killer....first Ron Zook, then Mike Schula, and Tuberville could be next.

Good luck the rest of the year...if Auburn wins some tough games this year, it will make MSU's win today look much better.
