Morale being a Saints fan during these tough times (2 Viewers)

I was a Braves fan but lost interest when MLB went on strike in the 90s. Actually have a good friend that was in AAA w/ the Phillies at the time. Some great stories.

Very interested to see what effect Rizzi has, if any. I grew up a Phillies fan in the 50s. What a horrible bunch of teams they were! When I got disillusioned by the Eagles after they lost to the Raiders in the superbowl, I made the permanent switch to the Saints. That was 1980. So I am used to supporting underdogs.

I’m sad about Sean and Drew too, always will be. As far as these tough times it’s been a lot worse imo, in my time being a fan. Always will be a Who Dat, no matter what.

Don't get me started on them!!! I'm probably in the minority here but I'd trade Zion before Brandon Ingram!!! Zion for all his talent is always injured, always missing games and just isn't dependable.

He is a bust, that contract was stupid. Zion I can see say comfortably will never ever lead the Pels to champ, not even close

Agreed. Not counting the 67-86 nightmare, of which I wasn’t alive for the first 9 years of - There was a brutal stretch from 93-99 where it felt like the Saints were going to always be the dregs of the league.

The franchise had never won a playoff game and it seemed like every move they made only made them more mediocre.

After Ditka, morale was so low as fans that we had gotten completely accustomed to mediocrity.

Also, the 2005 Katrina season was one of the worst morale experiences I’ve ever been though as a fan. I actually wept after the final Tiger Stadium game because it seemed almost a certainty that the team would be moved to San Antonio.

Im not as gung ho invested emotionally but still watch every game, at least the first half. If its lopsided I typically havent bothered watching more of the same.
