Morten Andersen is on our side (1 Viewer)

Yeah and Jim Mora pushed back on him with the dumbest take too. I side with Mort!!! Jim came off as clueless
Sorry I forgot to post the link of diddly poo Mora

I'm going to share something with you guys. A long read. My observations professionally based on mindsets, leadership, not fully giving up control to staff, business goals and why alignment and buy in is essential ( it's part of my job to deal with this stuff lol)

When Jim says "the saints fans get what they get" Guess what folks...he 100% believes in that statement. Here's why. The attitude (which is fine imo bc it's where he coaches from) is coming from the STAFF level (head coach who is the leader of the team not ambassador doesn't bleed for the fans, not a salesman nor business development person... Not his job basically in his mind)

His job is in his mind frame is to prepare the team, manage, organize, fix, lead.. etc. In his mindset and approach that's all he does.

The problem with that "attitude and mindset" is he's not a good face of the brand to the public. He's selling the vision and mission statement of the business which does not"sound" like the actual dedicated loyal customer/consumer is part of that vision.

In fact he said it himself.. They'll be happy when things go right and vice versa which is fine but again your strategy doesn't include loyal dedicated fans at all. It's more like for anybody who has a team, city, people, anywhere.etc. un targeted Random market.

That's where business leaders MUST step in to save this. This is why Mr. Kraft in New England had to step in and make it clear and not let the HC every week advertise and act like it's whatever during post game interviews. It sends a bad message so the owner had to go save himself, the coach and the fans.

I do business planning strategy development professionally and his (Jim's) statement would be considered reckless for the business if I had to report back to the c suite that this is the message your business development team and staff is sending to the public. The "suck it up we're trying over here" energy. Now here's the things I've experienced... Leadership is aware of it lol they let it happen for so long they can't fix it, they are old pals, there's history and dirt, the guy before knew how to run things so we let him ( SP cough cough) ... Yep. It Happens.

I said this last season after 3 weeks this organization had leadership problems by just observation of the product on the field, Head coach, Loomis , players comments.

Drafts won't fix this guys. This is an internal issue. SP was an ambassador and leader who bled for the fans and organization but now you see why he was exhausted at the end and yes it's very exhausting to wear a bunch of hats but it's not as bad when you have your road dogs helping you so SP did what he needed and put in place who he needed to support to reach his goals the business goals which were our goals... Win a championship.

DA is in that role now and you see the fallout. Everything internally is being exposed now. DA is trying to build his cast of talent but he's not an ambassador. He's more like Jim... Just doing my job I'm trying. This is normal sadly when you lose an ambassador at the staff level whom you allowed to assume complete control like they did with SP.

Just wanted to provide that perspective. DA is a good dude I'm sure. He's just more similar to Mora. Trying to HC and that's it. Can't worry about all that other stuff like that last guy. That ain't him. Plus leadership selected him so they know.

My resolution to the problem Would solely be based around a sit down with leadership and having them lay out their vision, mission, business goals, their strategic plans and initiatives etc and re establish change modify then create new action plans to support those changes asap and include the target market on those changes to get their buy in so they can understand now that we have goals it will take time but the end product is this and you are part of it.

DA couldn't hold Mora's jockstrap, he might be like Jim in front of the microphone but Mora won games and we accepted that in public he wasn't going to just take the narrative that the media threw out there. Totally different than milque toast DA. Mora has street cred, DA has none. P.S. Oh, And I agree with Mort. Just sayin'.

I respect both their takes and Mora's response was hilarious.

It's true we at times let this sport engulf our lives to the point that one can only laugh at how silly it all is--especially if it turns out that the league has been rigged the entire time.

But let's put it this way, if you paid for an Acura but for some reason no one could explain/admit, it drove like an Accord, wouldn't you be a fool not to complain?

Have seen seen either of their press conferences as head coaches!?! DA is NOTHING like Jim Mora in front of a microphone šŸ˜‚

Put me in the Great Daneā€™s camp. The fans deserve betterā€¦heck, the fans deserving better is what ran Mora out of town. You canā€™t tell me that Jim isnā€™t looking at this through DAā€™s eyes, because Jim was run out of town just like DA should be.

I think if we're being honest with ourselves, Jim's right. This is the team Saints fans deserve.
