Will the Saints be Buyers or Sellers, or will the Stand Pat?

If Buyers, who would you want the Saints to Trade For, and with what assets?

If Sellers, who on the team could the Saints afford to Trade away, and what do you expect them to be compensated?

At least a couple of the teams who were rumored to be “sellers” had a big day today that I’m sure will generate a lot of positive feeling this week (Broncos & Titans). I think the Commanders will still be in the mix for trades (as rumored). But I don’t see either the Titans or Broncos being as willing to sell off assets at this point.

If I’m the Saints I’m definitely checking into Chase Young’s status tomorrow.

Doubt the Saints do anything. Not sure what Commanders would want for Young, but he is a FA looking for a large contract. Would not give up much.

Just read an article that Young and Sweat are likely to be on the move. Definitely one of them and good chance both of em move.

As others have said, they’d be rentals if we couldn’t extend, so I’d be leery of giving up too much. We do need pass rush help imo so if we made a move for one of em I’d understand. Don’t think Allen will be available, other two are.

if we gave up a late round pick and couldn't sign them we could still get compensatory picks. I think its worth it.

If the Saints had lost yesterday, we perhaps might have been sellers going into the deadline, but at 4-4 and be literally in the thick of it in terms of winning the division, i see no reason why they shouldnt try to upgrade the Oline/TE/Dline if a worthwhile trade is presented, but in all honestly, i dont see the Saints making any trades this year.

It would have to be a vet w/ 1 year left on contract. Salary cap is tight next year buy they have some funds to absorb something now.

Renfrow still makes most sense. MT still doesn’t look himself to run whip routes etc from the slot. Olave is slumping and is still young and making mistakes reading coverage.

We don’t have a dependable slot option on the team.

Been seeing EDGE Carl Lawson’s name in the trade rumors all year. I think our inability to consistently pressure QBs, let alone get home w/Sacks, is one of our most glaring issues. Landing Lawson prob wouldnt cost us much & he is an established pressure player. Im freaking so tired of our pass rush not getting home & seeing QBs step up in the pocket or break contain & murder us w/a big run or pass down field off a scramble.

If the move isn't setting us up for future success (beyond 2024) then don't do it. Maybe for a really low draft pick 7th or 6th option then maybe you pick up a rental player. However, the NFC South is terrible so if we cannot win it with this roster then it's not talent (we all know it's not talent).
Save the draft capital for the next Head Coach. I'm trying to be optimistic about replacing the HC and staff next off-season when we lose to the lowly Panthers at the end of the season thus eliminating us from the playoffs. Who's seen that outcome before...

This is also glaring I agree, but something that I think will improve as the season wears. Foskey is developing Turner will return Bresee will continue to improve as will Granderson.

I wouldnt be upset at the move
