N/P Victor Wembanyama out for the season (5 Viewers)

Tragic. Unlike other stars, you could really see that he enjoyed the game, and he was about the game and not the business surrounding it.

My kids and I love watching him play (me because he is a remarkable athlete, them because he is such a freak athlete, and they love calling him the alien).

I hope he makes a full recovery and brings joy back to a dying league.

Agreed. I am reminded of how a similar condition affected Chris Bosch and that is concerning.

Yeah, I forgot about that, and it forced him to retire early (or teams wouldn’t sign him for fear that he might have a catastrophic problem).

I wouldn't call it tragic just yet. No reason to believe it's something that will continue to be a problem for him. And this season wasn't going anywhere anyway.
"Most importantly, with the appropriate treatment, according to Lee, "athletes with this condition have an extremely high likelihood of returning to full pre-injury peak performance without limitation in their abilities."

Brandon Ingram had this issue when he was still with the Lakers

that's a bummer. I've started watching the Netflix show about the 24 Olympics basketball tournament and he just comes across as a super well-grounded guy considering everything that surrounds him. I couldn't help but think he's the anti-Zion in terms of maturity, preparation and openness. I'm a big fan of his.

Agreed. He gives off a Shane Battier, Hakeem Olajuwon, DWade vibe where it’s all about being the best at the game.
