Week 13 is the first week where there are possibilities of a team either Clinching a Playoff Spot and/or being Eliminated from the Playoffs in the 2023 Season. Lucky or Unlucky 13?

This week the Eagles are the only team in the NFL that has a Chance to Clinch a Playoff Berth. If so, they would be the 1st team in the NFL to do so.

With a Win this week the Eagles can Clinch a Wildcard berth. They do so with a Win combined with a LAR Loss or Tie, OR, PHI Win plus a DET Loss plus GB Loss or Tie, OR, PHI Tie plus LAR Loss plus GB Loss or Tie plus ATL Loss or Tie, OR, PHI Tie plus LAR Loss plus a GB Loss or Tie plus N.O. Loss or Tie. Whether or not the Eagles clinch a Playoff berth this Week or not, it is inevitable that they will soon.

The Panthers could be eliminated from the Playoff Race This Week. Normally the Wildcard is a last chance possibility to make the Postseason. However, due to the horrible records of all NFC South members, the Panthers still have a path to win the Division by Winning their remaining 6 games, a better chance than they would have to enter the playoffs as a Wildcard since they have lost to both the Vikings and the Seahawks already. That's a pretty sad statement for the NFC South when a team with 1 Win all year still has a chance to win their Division with only 6 games remaining in the season. It also speaks of Parity in the NFL when they also still have a chance at a Wildcard spot.

If the Panthers Lose this Week they will fall to 1 Win and 11 Losses on the year and will be Eliminated from Postseason Play. Even if they were to Win their All of their remaining 5 games afterwards, they would lose any and all tiebreaking scenarios.

The Cardinals and the Patriots are also on the cusp of being eliminated this week. There are a number of factors that go into that, I won't go through them all, but it is inevitable that they will be eliminated, sooner or later.

Other than the Panthers, Cardinals, and Patriots, all other teams in the league as of right now have a minimum of 4 Wins. It may take a few more weeks before we see anyone else eliminated.

NFC South is pretty trash this year.

I keep waiting for the Eagles to come back to reality. Dallas too. Evidently, they're both legit.
