Many of us respect the almost Phoenix type career Bill Belichick has been through, from the Browns to the Pats. The man has forgotten more about football than many coaches will ever know. He truly is legendary.

He knows every detail about his opponent and wants his players to as well. Dolphins DB Don Jones impressed after crash course with Patriots | Miami Herald But what if he is now the opponent isn't just his opponent across the field from him, what if his opponent is the game of football itself.

Take the incident from last night Ben Roethlisberger Says The Patriots Defense Bent The Rules. His players are smart enough to know what to do in this type of situation, and it boarders on the line of ethical and unethical. Not many coaches will coach their players this sort of tactic.

Then think back to last years playoff game vs the Ravens. Patriots Use Trickery To Beat Ravens. Once again, what other coach is out there using tactics such as this?

Throw in everything that has come to light with spygate, deflate-gate, and last nights radio controversy, there is beating the man across from you, and then there is embarrassing your opponent. With every one of these incidents, how is Bill not hurting the NFL's reputation?

Legendary Coach

they didn't use any tricks to beat the Ravens, all they did was line up a running back at the line of scrimmage like an offensive lineman and the Ravens were to stupid or not coach the situation and got burned

All he is doing is getting advantages where others dont look for them. The man is brilliant. He does all the little things that nobody thinks of and then everyone cries cheater. He knows he doesnt have the best players on offense and defense so he teaches them ways to gain every advantge not in the book. Genius.

I would love the Saints to have the success the Pats have had over the last 15 years. Even with the all the stupid accusations they are still the best team in the league when it comes to winning year in and year out.

No matter what his accomplishments, his body of work as a whole is tainted by his continual willingness to "skirt the rules". His intentional and deliberate lack of sportsmanship are a black mark on all that he touches.

Can I vote "scumbag"?

He is both.

Stealing playsheets out of the opposing teams locker rooms....

All in a days work for a legendary *cough*cheater*cough* coach!

I like the Ben Rothleasahskdfjasdfasdjburger complaint.....they drew the O line off sides with a shift. Who knows the snap count? There is never an excuse for the o line to jump. Maybe your team should think about covering Gronk and that game is a lot closer.

Yeah, I am not a fan of the pats. With that being said; the ineligible receiver play is no more cheating than a hurry-up no huddle offense, a flea flicker, a hook and lateral, or an onside kick in the superbowl just after halftime. Just saying. They are only mad because they look bad and didn't try it first.

He is def. one of the best if don't the best coach to ever roam the sidelines. His overall record in NE is 175–65 in 15 seasons. Won the division ever year but twice. I'm not a fan of the patriots but you have to respect what he doing in NE. Some people say his career is tainted because of the cheating. Well if you ever played any type of sports at a high level just about of teams will try to get any advantage on their opponent. Hey if you aint cheating you aint trying right? lol. At the end of the day his teams are always prepared. With the turnover on his roster year end and year out and the success they have is amazing if you think about it. Just my 2 cents not that it mean anything.

His intentional and deliberate lack of sportsmanship are a black mark on all that he touches.

Outside of high school sports and stuff like the Olympics, that kind of "sportsmanship" is a myth. Everybody pushes the boundaries and tries to get away with things. it's practically expected. Belichick is just better at it than everybody else.
