Yes, genius, everybody know the Saints got Greer and Tampa didn't. My question is if anybody knows the particulars about how that went down like that. Get it?
Dude, I hope you're not serious. If you are, welcome to last week. The Saints signed Greer to a 4-year deal.
Is the GM for Bucs looking at saintsreport for his scouting? It seems like whenever we start a thread that someone likes a guy or that he could really help us in a position of need the next thread is that the Bucs are looking at him.

The corn grits that they served in the cafeteria (laughing). No, honestly I sensed something different here when I walked into the building and met the people that work here. I got the sense that every single person I have come in contact here are pulling in the same direction and there is a real hunger and passion here. From the coaching staff to the front office to the players that were here working out, I just came away really impressed and knew this was the spot for me. No one here said, “We are this, and we are that.” Instead they told me what their vision is for the team, what the expectations are. They treat you like a man. They showed it to me through their hard work and I appreciate that. At the end of the day, to me it made the most sense to sign here because of the feeling I got that everyone here is on the same page.”

From Saints homepage
"That was the one thing looking into it,'' Haynesworth said. "Because we did have both the same money on the table and everybody knows that one [offer] was from Tampa. I looked at the roster of the Redskins and looked at the roster of the Bucs. They cut a lot of starters. I mean they were older guys, but they cut five starters the day before [free agency]. And then you look at the 'Skins and their team wasn't old and it's not young. It's in that middle-age group like my age type of guys. Having all the names that we do that are really good players, even great players, I definitely thought we had a great shot at making a nice run for the playoffs and, hopefully, winning our division and getting deep into the playoffs.<O</O
Haynesworth also said he might have been more inclined to sign with the Bucs if linebacker Derrick Brooks had not been released

I think you're right...Take it for what it is worth, but I heard from a Buc fan with "inside info" that they have TWO people working in their FO.
O'Rly?
Well, armed with that tidbit of information, maybe we should take a close look at Aaron Brooks or Ryan Leaf.
comments on Greer from Buc fans on a Tampa Bay forum:
CB is hurting real bad right now...Do you remember what happened to P-Bucs lock down coverage when our starting DTs went down? I'm not ok with settling for P-buc with no D line in a press coverage system
There's still some good CBs out there.....Bodden, McFadden, Greer, Buchanon.
Greer is better than Bodden.
Another guy I'd like the counsel to consider is Bryant McFadden and Greer. ... Both has decent time in starting roles playing against tough AFC WRs. I'd like to bring atleast one of them in
We need to sign one of the following FA CBs....Phillip Buchanon, Leigh Bodden, Bryant McFadden, Jabari Greer.
Jabari Greer would be a solid addition to the secondary
or
Mcfadden was great in run support and a solid tackler
If we sign Jabari Greer there is a good chance he'll be starting.
if we pick up Jabari Greer, it's automatically an upgrade
Greer is a pretty good upgrade over Buchanan
I could see us landing Greer.
Greer would be a pretty good fit in Bates system.
extactly....thats what ive been sayin
Crowell and Greer would be two good signings.
Bring in Jason Taylor, Jabari Greer, Angelo Crowell, And resign PBuc or go after Shawn Springs ... and I think our defense will be set next year!
A lot of you don't know about Greer, but he's a SOLID player
Jabari Greer is going to be a dynamite young player. ... If the Bucs get him, you have plenty to be excited about. Go to www.twobillsdrive.com and ask the folks on that forum what they think about the prospect of Jabari Greer getting away.
Jabari Greer- Monday
link??
Nice.
allright guys....going to bed now...i hope we can sign greer and ward tomorrow..or tuesday
Update on Jabari Greer?
as far as corner and safety, [GM Mark] Dominik is still talking to Jabari Greer and Philip Buchaon, as well as Jermaine Philips, among others. This organization wants to win now.
Anybody heard anything new about the FA corners? I know Greer was supposed to visit did he leave?
Jabari Greer is visiting the Browns today, so clearly he left OBP without a deal.
CRAP!!
Damn lost out on Pbuc and Greer
First Greer, and now Buchanon? Ugh.
Greer signed with Saints for 4 years (damn!).
All I can say is........
(*EXPLETIVE DELETED*)!!!!!!!!!
Its just another sign that players don't like [head Coach] Morris and are tired of his used car salesman type approach.
Damn, good move by the Saints. I knew the Bucs had him in for a visit and I was hoping he would be a Buc. It sucks not to sign him, especially when he goes to a division rival.

Makes me happy to read. I hope we pummel them twice this year.
