Indianapolis Colts' TE Dallas Clark comes in at no. 78 on the NFL Top 100 players for 2011 as seen on NFLN. This is the list voted by the players themselves, not the fans' list.

While I agree with Clark being one of the Top 100 players, I believe he is more of a slot WR than a TE. In watching the Colts' offense, Clark lines up in the slot more than any other TE in the NFL; thus I believe he is more of a slot WR than a true TE.

It's hard to argue with the players but I'm surprised he isn't higher on the list.

So that makes J Graham a slot receiver?? That's where he lines up a LOT..

Wow, D. Clark is easy top 50.

does it make a difference either way? i guess the next question in your line of reasoning needs to be, how many slot receivers go in line and block like clark? :idunno:

No, it really doesn't matter. My point was, I think TE is a misnomer for Dallas Clark.

I do think he is a fine player, and deserves to be higher on the list.

I'd have to see the names of the 77 players above him, but my initial reaction is the same as the posters above me; I would have though Clark would have been a lot higher than that.

Dallas Clarke is a huge mismatch for any defender in the passing game, but maybe he was ranked so lowly because he is so one dimensional as a receiving TE.

or since the list is for 2011, players are wondering about dallas health, or even the potency of the colts offense. i'd expect him to be ranked higher based on the past, but I'm not sure about the colts moving forward,
