This right here... It was because Reed basically said the Houston coaching staff is dumb, but in nicer terms. They didn't like that too much, i agree with him. lol.

Who is now 35 years old, injury prone, not worth anything when he is actually on the field, and is apparently more than willing to publicly voice malcontent.

He's done. Too many fans hear a name and automatically think of a guy at his peak. Not only is Reed way past his peak, he's in "time to hang it up" territory. And bringing in a guy in the middle of the season isn't going to contribute anything as far as mentoring goes. Also, why do people automatically assume old players even want to fill that mentor role? Reed doesn't strike me as that type.
