The only one who threw a better DEEP ball than Rivers was Jeff Blake, IMO. Meachem knows how to go get it, and has the size & speed to out-position a smaller defender in the process.

Somehow, I see the Rivers-to-Meachem "connection" getting lots of air time on Sports Center.

Pretty sure he'll be really productive for the Chargers, you can expect 1,000+ yards and 8+ TDs. He was a huge playmaker for us, and he'll only shine more given a bigger role. I wish him the best.

I agree Meachem (if he stays reasonably healthy) will be over 1,000 yards and 8 td's with a increased role and a very good QB throwing to him. He may not lead the league in receiving yards like Calvin Johnson but he will produce very well in San Diego.

Meachem won't get close to 1200 yards if the only route he can run the majority of the time are basically go routes. He has to get better at all the intermediate stuff.
