I never watched enough Bengals games to know if this is true or not, but I read at several places that he was fond of ditching the play and "freelancing" on routes in Cincinatti, and he had great success getting open with it.

Supposedly that didn't fly in New England and he could never wrap his head around the playbook.

He went from being a pro bowler to being old. His last season with Cincy was not a good one...he was easily outplayed by T.O.. He simply got old and wasn't the same player that he was 5 years ago.
