N/S Reason for not trust my scouting analysis (Duron Carter) (1 Viewer)

Frankly I think you should go out back and flog yourself with cat and iron tails.

But seriously Guilermo, lay off yourself. Life is too short. You provide the board so much valuable info that we would not have access to. And what you give us about the CFL players is awesome. You nailed Breaux last year. You should be head of Saints scouting.

Don't worry Swimmer, I am just pulling my chain, I frankly have thick skin about criticism, specially coming from myself.

I still like Duron and would love the saints to try him. He really has the physical attributes we need to compliment our receivers group.

Cooks and Carter can both play out and go for the long ball, one with more speed, the other one with size, and at the same time Willie Snead can play the Lance Moore role and Coleman Colston's.

I like that he can go up and get the contested passes. Brees loves throwing into double coverage and trusting his guys to go up and get it. I think this kid could be a real asset with a decent QB. His Canadian QB looked like he was just chuckin it up everytime and praying Carter caught it.

The interesting thing is that you are seeing catches coming from at least 3 different quarterbacks: Anthony Calvillo, Troy Davies, Jonathan Compton. Only Calvillo was a stablished player. Duron Carter was able to succeed with frankly, poor quarterback play.

I still think Brees and Payton would do wonders with him, but again, he needs a lot of coaching.

On a side note, I think the CFL would benefit if they changed their season to start shortly after the NFL season ended. I know I'd be much more inclined to watch when I'm football starved than I am starting in June.

Yep, but then it will be called hockey. Today in Montreal we are at -4 farenheit (I think), no chance to play football here between February and April.

Season starts on July (and it is too warm) and ends in November (when it is too cold).

I think we are fine the way it is.

Well, he didn't make it at the NFL, but at least he is returning to the right place:

Carter officially signs deal with Alouettes - Article - TSN

Duron Carter is officially back with the Montreal Alouettes. The team announced Monday Carter signed a one-year deal with the team.

Only one year, I still he still wants to pursue an NFL gig. He is going to have a difficult year since the Al's don't have a solid quarterback. I'll keep you posted...
